Global SDSN
The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) is a global knowledge network that connects universities, research institutions, think tanks and other expert organisations to promote science-based solutions for sustainable development.
The network operates under the auspices of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and mobilises expertise and capacities from around the world to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement on climate change. It was founded in 2012 by former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and economist and professor Jeffrey D. Sachs.
The SDSN works at the intersection of science, public policy and practice. Through education, research, expert analysis and international cooperation, it helps to build pathways towards achieving the SDGs at global, regional, national and local levels.
